As part of its expansion permit approved in 2024 by Ohio EPA, WIN Waste Innovations of Seneca County will soon begin its waste relocation project to move approximately 2 million cubic yards of waste from Phase 1, a historic unlined cell used in the 1970s, to a newly constructed, composite-lined cell. This project is expected to begin no earlier than Friday, March 13, and will last approximately 18 months.

Seneca County General Health District will be conducting routine inspections throughout the project to ensure compliance with applicable permits, laws, and regulations.

The District Advisory Council will be having its annual meeting on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 6 p.m. at North Central Ohio Educational Service Center (NCOESC), located at 928 W. Market St., Tiffin.

The purpose of the District Advisory Council is to elect its officers, appoint members to the Seneca County Board of Health, receive and consider the annual or special reports from the Seneca County Board of Health, and make recommendations to the Board of Health in regard to matters for the betterment of health and sanitation within the district or needed legislation.

The District Advisory Council consists of:
1.President County Commissioner
2.Chief Executive (Mayor) of each municipality
3.Chairperson from each township
