🎄 Oasis Family, We’re Doing Something a Little Different This Year… 🎁

As we wrap up another year of growth, grit, and grace, we wanted to bring a little extra joy into the building. So this Christmas season, our staff and board are jumping into a White Elephant Gift Exchange — a fun, lighthearted way to laugh together, celebrate each other, and strengthen the sense of family that makes Oasis what it is.

This isn’t just about gifts. It’s about morale, connection, and appreciation. Our team shows up every day with heart, compassion, and a commitment to dignity that changes lives. Our board continues to guide, support, and champion the mission with wisdom and generosity.

To every staff member and every board member: thank you. You are the reason Oasis feels like home. You are the reason our peers feel seen, supported, and valued. And you are the reason we continue to grow into something stronger each year.

Let’s celebrate each other, laugh a little louder, and close out this year with the same spirit we bring to our work — joy, community, and hope.

Merry Christmas, Oasis family. 🎄💛

✨ Holiday Tip from Oasis ✨

Usually on Togetherness Tuesday we celebrate connection, but today we want to share something a little different: Trigger Fasting.

The holidays bring joy, but they can also bring unavoidable triggers—stressful gatherings, financial worries, or traditions that stir up old feelings. While some triggers may be part of the season, others we can choose to fast from or limit our exposure to.

Think of it like this:
- 🍽️ Just as fasting from food can reset the body, fasting from triggers can reset the mind and spirit.
- 🕊️ We can intentionally step back from environments, conversations, or habits that drain us.
- 🌟 By creating space, we make room for peace, gratitude, and genuine connection.

Practical Application:
- 📖 In step work, this might look like taking inventory of what situations or people stir up resentment and choosing to pause before engaging.
- 🙏 In spiritual practice, it could mean setting aside quiet time for prayer, meditation, or grounding rituals before holiday events.
- 🤝 In any pathway, it’s about noticing what feeds your recovery and what threatens it—and giving yourself permission to fast from the latter.

This holiday season, let’s remind ourselves and each other: we have the power to choose what we consume—not just on our plates, but in our hearts and minds.

From your friends at Oasis Recovery Community Organization, may your holidays be filled with dignity, hope, and the freedom to celebrate what truly matters.💙💚

🌿 Happy Spiritual Sunday 🌿

Today is a day to nurture your spirit. Whether through quiet reflection, connection with others, or acts of service—your soul deserves care.

💬 Quote of the Day
"I am a spiritual being because I am a human being, and this knowledge makes me grateful to be alive because it means that every day I'm alive, I can seek and receive spiritual recovery and healing through whatever perfect plan my higher power has." — Anonymous

🧘‍♀️ Self-Affirmation
"I am a soul that delivers, restores, and maintains peace."

Recovery is not just about abstaining—it’s about restoring wholeness. Holistic spirituality invites us to heal body, mind, and spirit. Today, your act of spirituality might be showing up for connection.

🕖 Join us tonight at 7PM for our NA meeting
This gathering can be your sacred pause, your spiritual reset, your reminder that you are not alone.
