FeelGood Bodyworks is a private massage practice owned by Ashley Watts, LMT. #25390 Hi, I’m Ashley Watts, a passionate and experienced massage therapist with over a decade in the spa and wellness industry and six years of hands-on massage experience. My journey in bodywork has been driven by a deep belief in the power of therapeutic touch—not just to relieve tension and pain, but to create a space where true healing begins. I specialize in Deep Tissue Massage, Ashiatsu, Cupping, Hot Stones, and Guasha, blending these techniques to provide a session that is both deeply effective and soothing. My approach is rooted in the understanding that healing involves more than just working out knots—it’s about calming the nervous system and guiding the body into a relaxed, parasympathetic state where true restoration can take place. Clients often describe my touch as flowy, intentional, and perfectly attuned to their needs. I take pride in creating a nurturing and relaxing environment while maintaining a strong therapeutic focus, ensuring that each session is tailored to your body’s unique needs. Massage therapy is more than a profession to me—it’s my dream job, and I love being able to serve my community through the art of bodywork. If you’re looking for a therapist who values quality, precision, and a deeply soothing experience, I’d love to work with you!

Were you recently in a car accident?
Massage therapy can be an important part of your recovery—even if the accident felt minor at the time.

In Oregon, massage therapy is often covered under your auto insurance (PIP) after a motor vehicle accident, with little to no out-of-pocket cost.

Massage can help with:
• whiplash and neck pain
• back or shoulder tension
• headaches
• stiffness and soreness
• stress or nervous system tension after an accident

Good to know:
• you don’t have to be in severe pain to seek care
• symptoms can show up days later
• early treatment can help support recovery

FeelGood Bodyworks accepts MVA clients and can help guide you through the process.

If you or someone you know has recently been in an accident, feel free to reach out with questions—we’re here to help.

What’s Tight Tuesday: 👀The Tensor Fasciae Latae — or TFL.

• Where it is:
On the outside of the hip, near the front of your hip bone

• What it does:
Helps stabilize the hip and knee when you walk or stand

• Why it gets tight:
– sitting for long periods
– walking or standing a lot
– weak or overworked hips
– repetitive movements

• When it’s tight, you might feel:
– tightness on the outside of the hip
– outer thigh or knee discomfort
– stiffness with movement

• How massage helps:
– releases tension
– improves mobility
– supports better movement

If your outer hip or thigh has been feeling tight lately, your TFL might be working overtime.

You know that feeling right after a massage…
when your body feels heavy, warm, and quiet?

That floaty, peaceful, post-session calm is your nervous system finally relaxing.

Some people even drift into a nap.
Others leave feeling clearer, lighter, and more grounded.

Every session is designed to help your body slow down and reset — not just power through tension.

And honestly…
that post-massage nap hits different. 😌

Sometimes it’s not just your muscles that are tight… it’s your nervous system that’s tired.

If you’ve been feeling:
• restless or wired
• extra sensitive to stress
• mentally exhausted but physically tense
• like you can’t fully relax

Your body might be stuck in “go mode.”

Massage helps shift your nervous system into a calmer state so your body can finally exhale.
That’s where real healing and recovery begin.

Slow, intentional bodywork isn’t just about pressure — it’s about helping your whole system settle.

Your body deserves rest, not just relief. 🌿

Hi, I’m Ashley Watts, LMT.

I am a licensed massage therapist with over 7 years of hands-on experience and over a decade working in the spa and wellness industry. Massage therapy is both my passion and my calling, and I take pride in creating a practice that supports healing, connection, and meaningful self-care.

My training includes Swedish and deep tissue massage, Ashiatsu, cupping, gua sha, hot stone, and therapeutic massage. With an extensive background in dance, my work is influenced by movement and flow, resulting in a massage style that is intuitive, attentive, and deeply therapeutic. My intention in each session is to support pain relief, create lasting ease in the body, encourage overall wellness, and promote a sense of peace.

I value the people I work with and the professional relationships we build together. I am easy to talk to, compassionate, and grounded in a positive, supportive approach. My practice is more than a place to receive massage—it is a safe, nurturing space where the nervous system can settle and true healing can begin.

What’s Tight Tuesday 👀

Hip Flexors

• Where they are:
Front of the hips, connecting your lower spine and pelvis to your upper leg.

• What they do:
Help lift your leg, stabilize your pelvis, and support walking, running, and standing upright.

• Why they get tight:
– sitting for long periods
– driving
– desk work
– lack of movement
– stress (yes, that too)

• When they’re tight, you might feel:
– low back discomfort
– tightness in the front of the hips
– pulling through the front of the thighs
– reduced mobility
– posture feeling “off”

• How massage helps:
– releases chronic tension patterns
– improves hip mobility
– reduces strain on the lower back
– encourages better posture + movement

Releasing the hips often helps the lower back feel better too.

Everything is connected 🤍

How Often Should You Get a Massage? 👀

The honest answer?
It depends on your goals.

I suggest the following:

• For general maintenance:
Once a month helps prevent tension from building up and keeps your body moving well.

• For chronic tension or pain:
Every 2–3 weeks may be more beneficial while we work on specific patterns.

• For high stress / nervous system support:
Every 2–4 weeks can help regulate and reset your system.

• For athletes or very active lifestyles:
Weekly or bi-weekly sessions may support recovery and performance.

• If you’re in acute pain or recovering from injury:
A short series closer together may be recommended (depending on your situation).

Massage works best when it’s consistent — not just when you’re already in a lot of pain.

Your body responds to regular care.
If you’re unsure what’s right for you, I’m always happy to guide you 🤍

Massage isn’t just a luxury.

It helps:
• regulate your nervous system
• improve circulation
• reduce inflammation
• support recovery
• ease chronic tension patterns

Your body isn’t meant to live in fight-or-flight mode all the time.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do… is slow down.
