Operation Christmas Child is Back!

It’s that time of year again! Bonaventure of Tigard is partnering with Samaritan’s Purse once again for Operation Christmas Child—an amazing program that sends shoeboxes filled with gifts, school supplies, and personal care items to children in need all around the world.

Last year, Bonaventure communities came together and packed 1,300 shoeboxes—and this year, we’re aiming even higher!

Residents, staff, family, and friends are all invited to join us! Stop by Bonaventure of Tigard at 15000 SW Hall Blvd, Tigard, OR 97224, to pick up a shoebox and a packing guide!

We have some seriously fun things to post from activities at Bonaventure of Tigard!!! We have a little catching up to do!

2 weeks ago, we had an amazing time at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Oregon Zoo. It was an early day, but residents and staff made it happen!

We were so proud of raising over $1100 at our Yard Sale, and we ended up donating over $1500 in total just from our building!! We were also joined by Bonaventure of Gresham, Milwaukie, and Oswego place, and had fun sponsoring the Tailgate booth.

We also played hot potato with the cardboard cutout that we brought of our Executive Director Jen. 😂 She was so sad to miss the walk, she was out of the country, but we found a way to bring her with us! All for one and one for all at Bonaventure Senior Living. Teams win. ❤️🥳 🤗

We had an amazing time with the Yard Sale this week at Bonaventure if Tigard! 😄

A HUGE thank you to the residents who volunteered. They put in an enormous amount of work, and it turned out amazing!

All proceeds will go toward our team donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Mark your calendar for the walk on October 11th at the Oregon Zoo. Stop by the front desk to register!

We have been having so much fun this month!!

Sharing a few pics from our trip to the Portland Art Museum, our happy hour and entertainment, a little Mexican train, flower arranging and perhaps the most fun-bean bag baseball, staff vs. residents!! The residents won in a landslide, something like 26 to 16. The rematch is next week!! ⚾️

Don’t forget to join us tomorrow for our Yard Sale! All proceeds willl go toward the Alzheimer’s Foundation. And join us on the walk at the zoo on October 11th. Come in for details and to register! 😃
