Rabun County Schools has been recognized for leadership in implementing Georgia’s newly designated state model for character education.

The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) has officially selected FranklinCovey Education’s Leader in Me® process as a State Model Program for Character Education, recognizing it as an exemplary, evidence-based framework for developing leadership, character, and life-readiness in students across Georgia’s K–12 schools.

Rabun County Schools is among the growing number of Georgia districts that have embraced Leader in Me to help students build strong character, leadership, and academic skills. Through strategic use of state character education resources and foundation-based funding, the district has implemented a model that now serves as the standard for character education across Georgia’s public schools.

Forward Rabun/ Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Visits Mountain Lakes Medical Center.

This past Tuesday, Mountain Lakes Medical Center was proud to host the Forward Rabun/ Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership group!

Students from Tallulah Falls School and Rabun County High School had the opportunity to tour our facility and learn about the wide range of departments that keep a hospital running—both clinical and non-clinical. From nursing and radiology to administration and community relations, the group got an inside look at the many career paths available in healthcare.

We’re always excited to help inspire the next generation of leaders in our community!
