Latest findings about youth mental health:
• About 1 in 7 children and adolescents (ages 10–19) are affected by a mental health condition.
• Nearly 18% of youth ages 12–17 have had at least one major depressive episode in the past year (around 4.5 million teens).
• Over 20% of adolescents (ages 12–17) report having a diagnosed mental or behavioral health condition (anxiety, depression, conduct problems).
• Around 20% of teens say they have unmet mental health care needs.
