Stella Maris Inc hospice liaison Mark Stamidis and hospice social worker Kelly Farrell, LCSW-C, ACHP-SW presented a great information session on Advanced Directives to the residents at Mercy Ridge last week. Great tips and things to consider were shared among the group and we look forward to working with them on their next workshop!

Interested in meaningful volunteerism? We’re excited to announce that Camp Puh’Tok in Monkton, Maryland is booked for our overnight Camp Me Too! on April 18–19, 2026!

We are seeking volunteers (we have lots of boy campers this year and specifically seeking male "buddies") to serve as “buddies,” paired one-on-one with a child to support them throughout the weekend. This is a meaningful role for anyone with an open heart and a desire to help a grieving child feel supported and engaged.

Whether you’re new or returning, we’d love to have you join us for this impactful experience.

Please join us in congratulating Jasmine on her promotion to Life Enrichment Manager!

Jasmine’s journey with our organization began as a student volunteer during her high school summers. She later joined our Dining Team in the St. Elizabeth’s Hall café, where she worked for 7 years while earning her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Coppin State University.

In early 2024, Jasmine transitioned to the Life Enrichment Team, where she discovered her passion for engagement and enhancing the lives of our residents. She worked diligently to complete the Activity Director course, earning her certification in September 2025.

Jasmine has been an incredible asset to Stella Maris —helping train new staff and volunteers, creating engaging activities, and embracing every opportunity to learn and grow. She is known for her bright smile, positive attitude, and willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed to ensure our residents have the best possible experience.

Jasmine truly exemplifies our mission and values through her compassion, creativity, flexibility, and commitment to excellence.
