Today, we honor Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, and variations of Diwali that are celebrated in other Indian religions such as Jainism and Sikhism.

Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of Dharma over Adharma, light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. Diwali is celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar months of Ashvin (according to the amanta tradition) and Kārtika – between around mid-September and mid-November. The celebrations generally last five or six days.

Mercy Ridge Retirement Community will host a Remembrance Service on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 1:30 pm in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) to honor the lives and memories of our residents and loved ones.🕯️

We encourage all who attend to bring a photograph of your loved one to place on the remembrance table.
