Sponsor one of this year’s Benches on the Avenue and get your business or organization’s name in front of tens of thousands of Downtown Tinley visitors this year!

Benches will be out from mid-May to early October along Oak Park Avenue and will feature the theme “Party in the USA” in tribute to America’s 250th birthday. Benches are six feet long, include attached flower boxes, and feature one-of-a-kind artwork with colorful, three-dimensional, and family-friendly designs.

For just $749, your business or organization will get a plaque affixed to your bench, inclusion in the regionally distributed Benches on the Avenue brochure, and your name featured on the Village websites and social media. Sponsors also take possession of the bench at the end of the season.

Harmony Square will be filled with beautiful flowers and creative works of art when the Village’s annual Tinley Park Art and Garden Market returns from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9.🌸

If you’re a vendor who sells flowers (annuals, perennials, succulents, etc.), garden supplies, seedlings, bouquets, handcrafted items, fine art, and illustrations, the Village invites you to fill out the 2026 Art and Garden Vendor Application: https://ow.ly/4s3y50Ya7sm

The Tinley Park Irish Parade will kick off at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 8 from Central Middle School and march north along Oak Park Avenue. The viewing area will be from 179th Street to the Subway parking lot at 17219 S. Oak Park Avenue. Irish music after the parade at Harmony Square will round out the day's fun!🎵

More than 100 employers and 1,800 jobseekers came out to the third annual Southwest Job Fair on Jan. 15 at the Tinley Park Convention Center. Hosted by the Village of Tinley Park, the Village of Orland Park, Orland Township, and the office of Cook County Commissioner Sean Morrison, the event featured mock interviews, free headshots, and a chance for jobseekers to connect with employers looking to hire.

More than 100 employers and 1,800 jobseekers came out to the third annual Southwest Job Fair Jan. 15 at the Tinley Park Convention Center.

The Village has extended the deadline to submit a business license application to Jan. 31. Please be sure to pay the business license online (https://ow.ly/K7xF50XY63r) or contact licensing@tinleypark.org for assistance.

The Village requires that most businesses in Tinley Park have a valid business license. Some business types are regulated by the State and are not required to get a business license. If you're unsure if your business needs a business license or not, please call (708) 444-5004.

Submit your entry form now for a chance to be one of the dozens of local businesses, community groups, and other organizations marching down Oak Park Avenue during the 26th annual Tinley Park Irish Parade on Sunday, March 8!🍀

Participation is open to Tinley Park businesses and organizations only until Friday, Feb. 6. Afterward, all other businesses and organizations are invited to submit. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will be able to have a maximum of two vehicles (or one vehicle and one trailer/float), or 50 feet of space. Each business or organization is limited to one parade entry; more space may become available.

Please note that submitting the entry form doesn’t guarantee a spot in the Irish Parade. The Village will contact applicants with additional information, including next steps, as entries are finalized for the parade. Each business or organization is limited to one parade entry through Feb. 6.
