🦷 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🦷
Dear Dental Family,
It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter today. After 30 years of providing dental care here in Tinley Park, Illinois, I have decided to head south for Knoxville, Tennessee to begin the next chapter of my life. I will miss you all very much. Over the years, I have developed bonds and friendships that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Relationships which go far beyond just the dentist patient care. Although to many, this may seem like a sudden change, for me, it is one that I have been planning for quite some time.
With that being said, I am leaving you all in very good hands. Dr. Michael Golk has been my associate and business partner for the last 3 years and he has my complete trust to fully take over the business I have built for the last three decades. I greatly appreciate the trust you have put in me as your dentist over the years!
-Edmond J. Hanley, DDS
_________________________________________
Over the last 3 years, I have had the opportunity to meet most of you. However, if I haven’t gotten the chance to meet you yet, I hope you give me the opportunity to win you over!
I was born and raised in Orland Hills, IL and attended Carl Sandburg High School. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and went on to receive my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine – Illinois. In dental school, I was inducted into the National Dental Honors Society (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) for excellence in academics, character, and professionalism.
As a clinician, I believe in a patient-centered approach to dentistry by promoting a relaxed and comfortable experience. I am committed to addressing each patient’s wants and needs and I encourage each patient to become an active participant in their treatment. I firmly believe that a commitment to oral health is important for overall health.
In addition to Cambridge Dental Care, I am currently a general dentist and Captain (O3) in the Army National Guard of Illinois. In that role, I maintain my unit’s readiness by performing oral examinations and dental procedures to ensure soldiers are ready for deployment. I also lecture on oral hygiene and dental trauma, so soldiers are equipped to handle dental-related situations in the field.
I am excited for this next chapter of Cambridge Dental Care, as well as my own life as a sole business owner and practitioner. Aside from Dr. Hanley moving on, you shouldn’t see many changes. All staff will be retained, and operations will continue as normal. In the coming months, we hope to have some cosmetic and equipment upgrades to the office!
I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment!
-Michael P. Golk, DMD
