Prom season should be filled with laughter, pictures, beautiful dresses, sharp suits, and memories that last a lifetime. But for some families, prom weekend became the moment their world changed forever. As we remember these beautiful prom babies who lost their lives during prom season, we lift their families up in prayer. No parent should ever have to bury their child after a night that was meant to be full of joy.
This is also a reminder to parents, guardians, and loved ones to pray over your children before they leave home. Talk to them. Cover them. Remind them to be careful, to stay aware, and to make wise decisions. Prom, graduation, and summer celebrations should end with everyone making it back home safely.
Please continue to pray for these families who are living with a loss that words cannot heal. And as our children go out to celebrate these special moments, let’s all ask for protection over every student, every ride, every gathering, and every step they take.
Some babies didn’t make it back home. Let that be a reminder to hold your children a little tighter, pray a little harder, and never take a single moment for granted.
