Our latest New Graduate RN Residency cohort just presented their Capstone projects, featuring two collaborative teams and one solo initiative. Every project shared a common goal: enhancing the experience for both our patients and our hardworking staff.

From a team focusing on increasing nurse communication through more detailed charting, to a group educating CCU patients on FAQs to help them feel more informed, and a solo presenter dedicated to prioritizing a mother’s comfort in our Women's Health birthing rooms—these nurses are leading the way.

You can visit our Imaging Departments at Highpoint Health - Sumner or Highpoint Health - Sumner Station Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. No physician order is required, and we offer a convenient $50 cash pay price for the test. Just head to the registration desk in the lobby at either location to get started.

Think you might have the flu? Here’s what to do to take care of yourself and protect others:

- Stay home and rest. Avoid work, school or public places. Rest helps your body fight the infection and prevents it from spreading to others.

- Monitor your symptoms. Keep track of severity, duration and any changes in symptoms like fever, chills, cough, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, headache, runny or stuffy nose.

- Hydrate and manage symptoms. Drink plenty of water or herbal tea. Over-the-counter medications can help with symptoms. Avoid alcohol and smoking.

- Seek medical care if needed. Call your healthcare provider if you experience trouble breathing, chest pain, severe weakness, confusion, persistent high fever or worsening symptoms, especially if you are pregnant, older or have chronic conditions. Early treatment can help reduce complications.

- Protect your community. Cover coughs and sneezes, wash your hands frequently and stay home until you’ve been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication.
