If you've ever had the chance to talk about birth with me, you'd probably know that midwifery is my dream job.
And I'm THRILLED to be saying that it's come to fruition š¤Æ
At the end of last year, I āØofficiallyāØbegan my studies to become a home birth midwife.
This will be a several year long process, packed full of prenatal appointments, births, postpartum visits, skills classes, textbooks, and weekend workshops. And honestly, IM SO PUMPED.
This does come with some pretty big changes with how I'm going to run Kindred Souls Birth though. Starting with the biggest changes...
š I will no longer be taking new doula clients.
I'm so grateful and overjoyed that this year has been fully booked already, and am deeply connected to my clients (current and precious).
But, in order to move forward with attending births as a midwifery assistant, I need to close the door on doula support.
However, if you are a past client who is pregnant, I will always support you as a doula at your birth.
To fill the gap of doula work, I've spent over a year preparing and creating a comprehensive online childbirth education courseš It has been specifically designed to teach you the physiology of birth and to prepare you to advocate for your rights to autonomous birth, in or out of the hospital.
Stay tuned for more information about the launch of that soon!
I'm so grateful for the support and love I've received while I make these changes, and I couldn't be more excited to see where the Lord guides this journey over the next few years ā„ļøš
xoxo emily
