Following up on yesterday’s blog post, we wanted to break down an important (and often overlooked) piece of posture: your breathing 💙

Most people think posture is all about sitting up straighter—but the way you breathe plays a huge role in how your body holds itself.

Ideally, your body uses diaphragmatic (belly) breathing, where your diaphragm does the work and your ribcage expands naturally. But with stress, long hours sitting, and daily habits, many people shift into chest breathing without even realizing it.

When that happens, your neck and shoulders start picking up the extra work—which can lead to:

• Neck and shoulder tension
• Upper back tightness
• Forward head posture
• Even lower back discomfort

Your diaphragm is closely connected to your core and spine, so when it’s not working properly, other areas of your body have to compensate.

The good news? Small changes can make a big difference 🙌
Practicing slow, controlled breathing—letting your belly rise first instead of your chest—can help reduce tension and support better posture over time.
