✨🎉 Dr. Carringer’s 5 Wellness Resolutions for a Healthier New Year 🎉✨
If you’re setting health goals this year, here’s a helpful reminder: sustainable wellness isn’t built on extremes — it’s built on simple, repeatable habits. These five resolutions form the foundation of any healthy routine, no matter where you’re starting from. Small changes here can create big, lasting results. 💙
🛌 Aim for 7–8 hours of sleep
Sleep is when your body repairs tissues, regulates hormones, and resets your nervous system. Consistent, quality sleep supports mood, immunity, pain management, and overall energy levels.
🚶 Get at least 7,500 steps per day
Daily movement keeps joints lubricated, improves circulation, and supports spinal health. Walking is one of the most effective (and underrated) ways to stay active without overloading your body.
🥗 Avoid processed foods
Highly processed foods can increase inflammation and disrupt digestion. Choosing whole, minimally processed foods helps fuel your body more efficiently and supports long-term health.
🍳 Eat more protein
Protein supports muscle repair, joint stability, metabolism, and satiety. Increasing protein intake can help maintain strength, especially as we age, and supports recovery from daily activity.
💧 Drink more water
Hydration plays a key role in joint health, muscle function, digestion, and energy levels. Even mild dehydration can contribute to stiffness, fatigue, and headaches.
