A message from the President

Good morning everyone. I was getting ready to shower when a thought crossed my mind and I said to myself.... "you have eight positive things going on in your life and you choose to focus on the one negative thing Stephanie". Let that sink in. Why do we continue to focus on the negative as oppose to the positive.

If you really think about it, there is so much good around you, why not focus on them. So, I decided to take my own advice. I stopped thinking about the high electricity bills and went for thoughts that bring me joy. I started looking at pictures of my children and their beautiful smiles, then I started remembering how blessed I am to have my children call me everyday with an I love you mama. Then, I could hear their voices, and I started thinking about my beautiful mom and loving father. All I know is that the positive thoughts kept coming.

See how easy it is to go to a pleasant place. Try it.

We've been in Toledo since 2019 and I had to take a moment to say Thank you to Friendship Baptist Church. They have guided, motivated and encouraged my students and I on how to continue to be great.

To each and every member who extended their time, money, love and compassion to us; we thank you. We know this is what you do and always say, community is what makes us. I agree. Community is what makes you all so awesome!
