In LYT Yoga, we’re not chasing a moon-like shape in our Crescent Lunge — we’re retraining the body to move better off the mat.

A common pattern we see? Ribs flaring and an arched low back — it might look elegant and like a dancer, but there’s little core integration. Without that, energy leaks out and transitions lose power.

Instead, we cue for neutral alignment:
• Neutral pelvis + active core
• Ribs knitted in
• Arms reach straight up from strong shoulders
• Front knee soft but stable
• Back knee bent, heel lifted directly under your sitz bones (aka ischial tuberosity)
• Press firmly into your back toe mound + front big toe
• Lengthen through your ribs without lifting your traps
• Glutes ON (always 💥)

These subtle shifts create readiness, activation, and strength that you feel in every transition — and carry into your posture, walking, standing, and life beyond your mat.
