Today is the day that I had my transplant 6 years ago. I would like to thank god , my donor and their family for the gift. I would also like to thank my family for all of their support. It has been an amazing six years. I have got to see three more grandchildren and one more great grandson arrive to this world. I watched one of my grandsons become a cardiac surgeon. And all my grandchildren grow. I have moved back to My home in Toledo so I will be closer to my family and friends. It has been an amazing six years. I hope for many more. I love you all!

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MY FIFTH ANNIVERSARY.

Today is my fifth anniversary of my lung transplant. It has been an amazing five years. I went to the Dr this month and I had the best lung function test ever. I had planned a big dinner with all my kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. But some of them are feeling sick so we had to postpone it.
I have four children, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. I found out I have two more grandchildren on the way. One is due in January, one in June.
We are in the process of moving back to Toledo so we will be closer to the family.
Tonight Barb and I are staying at home in our new house celebrating by our selves. So HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. Hope you all have a great year.

Just spen 5 days in the James cancer hospital in Columbus. Had skin cancer in my right cheek. Went to the dermatologist to have it removed and it was too deed. She sent me to a specialist, and it was an eight hour surgery. They had to remove the cancer in my face, and remove the lymph nodes in my neck. They had to take a skin graft from my leg to put in my neck. I will have to have radiation treatment for 6 weeks after I get home. dr says he got all the cancer out, so I hope everything is good now. Just more heeling.

Then we went to Daytona Beech and rode our bikes on the beech. Now we’re in Savanna. Heading back home tomorrow. Had a great time. Been in the low to mid 80s the whole time.

Been awhile since I’ve last posted anything. So here’s the latest update.

On December 31, it will be THREE YEARS since my transplant.

After avoiding it for 2 1/2 years, I finally got Covid at the end of August- beginning of September. The doctors sent me to the hospital for a antibody infusion. Started feeling better about two days later. The Barb got it. She had it for about a week.

I bought some more exorcise equipment, so still working out despite the cold weather.

I’ve been using a cream the Dr prescribed for me to use on my face and neck to treat the skin cancer. Supposed to use it for 2 weeks. So far I’ve Been using it for 12 days and my face is so sore I’m skipping it today.

Go to see the dermatologist on Jan.5.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone. Please stay healthy. Without your health, you have nothing.
