Graduate School Open House 2026 - On Friday, February 20, the UToledo Speech-Language Pathology Program was pleased to welcome prospective students to interview for admittance to the Graduate School Program. We were honored to hold in-person interviews for 40 prospective students and held virtual interviews for an additional six candidates. The Open House consisted of complimentary Coffee and Bagels, a one-on-one Interview with an SLP Faculty Member, a tour of our in-house Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, and a conversation with a panel of first and second-year grad students. We were very impressed with this group of future professionals and hope to see many of them in our program this Fall!

WRAPPING IT UP! JUST ONE HOUR LEFT! - Why We're Asking for Your Donation - Annual Day of Giving 2026!
Events for Our Students!
GRAD SCHOOL RETREAT
Each year, we welcome our new Grad Students the week before school starts at an off-campus venue. In recent years, we've met at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve. The students are provided lunch, get an in-depth introduction to each step of their graduate program, and get an opportunity to know each other and their faculty in an informal setting.
1st YEAR GRAD SCHOOL SURVIVOR DAY

RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM
Each graduate student chooses a research topic during their first semesters, which they present to each other and the faculty just days before graduation. We're so proud of all the work that they do! The Research Symposium is a full day event with poster presentations and oral. Lunch is provided for the students and everyone is always impressed with and supportive of their fellow students' work.
These are the kind of events that we are raising donations to fund and we hope that you will consider helping us show our appreciation for our students!

Therapy Program and continuing to provide student support to the Stroke and Traumatic Brain injury survivors attending the DaZy Aphasia Centre.

Outside of the Clinic, our students will have placements at Sara's Garden locations in both Holland and Wauseon, the Sylvania Schools Extended School Year, and at ProMedica Total Rehab Pediatrics.

Please consider helping support our students through the purchase of updated diagnostic testing supplies and equipment and providing funds to plan special events for student growth. You can donate at any time by clicking here:

Our Community Impact!

We're so proud of our students and the impact they have on the Greater Toledo Community! Services are performed both in and out of the Clinic.
This year, our students performed 1300 hours of individual In-Clinic therapy and 39 hours of In-Clinic diagnostic evaluations.
Every semester, our students go out into the Community to perform Speech and Hearing Screenings at area preschools and grade schools, which provide parents with valuable developmental information for FREE. They have also performed FREE hearing screenings for the Local 50 Pipefitters Union.
Also, in the Fall and Spring semesters, our students perform diagnostics and therapy throughout the school year at Sunbridge Performance Academy and virtually through the Ohio Virtual Academy.
Additional In-Clinic programs offered in the Fall and Spring semesters include the DaZy Aphasia Centre, which helps stroke and traumatic brain injury survivors with Aphasia and the SPEAK OUT! individual and group therapies provide communication support to those with Parkinson's Disease. These two programs are also FREE to the public.

Please consider helping support our students through event support and the purchase of updated diagnostic testing supplies and equipment. You can start donating at any time by clicking here:
