Mand snapped this candid moment of me loving up on Charlie today. Not a rare sight in this house and there is not a day that goes by that we don’t give thanks to our “pup and savior”. So grateful to have her in our lives. What a good girl. A brief farm update: vast majority of equipment has been passed on to and I feel pretty good about it. Really great folks and happy all this stuff went to them. Give them a follow. I feel they’re going to build a really nice farm! As for us, we’re still chipping away here getting rid of this and that. Plenty to keep us busy in the coming months. I’ll have another update soon. ✌️💜🍄‍🟫

What you buy at the farmers market passes through just a few hands… your farmers and then yours… before reaching your plate. No middleman distributor, driver crossing the country, or stock person involved. Distance is everything when it comes to food being fresh and tasty. And there’s no questioning that local is best. Farmers markets are the shortest distance for food to travel (other than gathering it right out of the field!)

Pink oysters hit the pan, hissed, curled, and filled the kitchen with pure morning glory. Butter, eggs, American cheese — all melting into a toasted bagel. Mushrooms for breakfast aren’t polite… they’re perfect. 🍄🥯
