Influenza season has begun at Tomah Health. The hospital has recorded its first reportable case of Influenza Type A. Most people who have influenza are infected with the influenza Type A virus which includes fever and chills, headache and muscle aches, feeling tired and weak, sneezing, and stuffy or runny nose, sore throat and cough.

Tomah Health welcomes Occupational Therapist Julie Capello, OTD, OTR, to our Occupational Therapy Team. Julie received her Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) from Kettering College in Kettering, Ohio. Her special interests include treatment for orthopedic patients, along with patients with Neurological disorders plus pediatric patients. Julie looks forward to offering Occupational Therapy services that promote the highest level of functioning and improved quality of life to all individuals in our community.

Get ready to join us for a festive Holiday Celebration at our December Parkinson’s Support Group meeting, filled with food, fun games, & prizes. It's a time for all of us to come together, bid adieu to 2025, and welcome in the New Year! The Tomah Health Parkinson’s Support Group meeting for December will be held on Dec. 3 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the first-floor conference rooms 1B/1C at Tomah Health.

The support group is designed for patients with Parkinson’s and their caregivers and is held on the first Tuesday of each month from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Tomah Health. For more information, visit www.tomahhealth.org/community-outreach.
