This group meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in conference room 1B at Tomah Health. There is no cost to participate. Parkinson’s disease is a progressive, long-term neurodegenerative disorder that primarily affects movement. In honor of SHAKE AND FREEZE Day (Shorts Day), Tomah Health is proud to announce the continuation of our Parkinson's Support Group in 2026 for our community.

We invite patients with Parkinson’s—as well as their caregivers—to join our monthly support group, held on the first Tuesday of each month from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in conference rooms 1B/C at Tomah Health.

Please note that there will be no January meeting. The group will resume on February 3, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Our official calendar for 2026 is still being finalized, so stay tuned for more details.

Special thanks to staff from 21 Tomah Health departments who donated gifts to help 70 children throughout the Tomah Area School District as part of our annual "Adopting Kids for Christmas" program. We were honored to help 31 families who are identified by school district officials for the program. Special thanks to TH Quality Services assistant Deb Boos-Vrana who has coordinated the program for more than 20 years and to Tomah School District Warrens & Wyeville principal Tim Gnewikow and Lemonweir secretary Chelsey Briner for their support and distribution of the gifts.

We are proud to announce our Women’s Health Childbirth Education 2026 Schedule! Tomah Health offers a variety of FREE childbirth education classes every month for expecting parents and family members. We offer scheduled classes such as a Prepared Childbirth Class, Hydrotherapy/Waterbirth Class, Breastfeeding Class, and Sibling Class. We also offer a Car Seat Safety Class by appointment. Tomah Health Nutrition Services Director and Registered Dietitian Michelle Lindsay, left, and Nutrition Services Nutrition Services Specialist Alissa Moake, presented a ceremonial check for $1,695 to Tomah's Neighbor for Neighbor, Inc. Food Pantry Operations Director Dawn Pleuss Dec. 12. Leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday, hospital staff purchased more than 60 pies with proceeds donated to the pantry. Pleuss said visitors to the pantry have hit record numbers. She said the organization has been assisting 750 households a month, which is the largest number Pleuss has seen in her nine years at the pantry. She said the donation will be used to purchase breakfast items for pantry patrons. Lindsay said due to the success of the pie sale they are looking forward to holding the event next year!

A crowd of more than 150 took time to remember loved ones and special friends during the annual Tomah Health Hospice Touch / Palliative Care “Love Light Tree” program at Murray’s on Main in Tomah Dec. 7. This year’s event acknowledged more than 600 area residents who are no longer with loved ones this holiday. Special thanks to the Royall High School Choir for performing a number of holiday songs and to Murray’s on Main for hosting the event. Hospice Touch / Palliative Care has held a Love Light event in Tomah the last 35 years. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this year’s event.

She is also certified in dry needling. She looks forward to assisting patients reach their personal goals and realize their full potential through individualized care.
