Saying goodbye is hard to do, even when the time is right.

Romeo had a fantastic long life surrounded by love and care. He had so many adventures with his family…horse shows, beach rides, fox hunts and so many other exciting experiences. Later in his life he was an awesome lesson horse…great rides (including one very exciting long canter when a rider got her cues mixed up!), getting painted, being a hoof model for our turkey trotters event, and patiently being braided over and over. He loved his down time, too, after making a few horse friends, and loved nothing better than a good romp In the pond and then a long nap in the sand.

He said goodbye after a sunny day in the pasture with his horse friends. He was surrounded by those that loved him on his life’s journey and laid down peacefully like he was ready for his nap.

We will miss you, sweet man! But I know you are flying free and finding a perfect pond to play in before a nap in the sun. Alyssa Brady

Two dedicated little horse people cleaning up a very neglected bridle for our friend Dancer. Thank you, Lily and Poppy for helping keep our equipment clean and comfy for our critters! This makes my heart full ❤️

SLT is proud to introduce Samantha Shober, who joined us at the beginning of the summer after her move from California.

Samantha is a summer camp counselor extraordinaire, a top notch feral pony whisperer, and too many other qualities to mention. She’s a favorite with all of our students and our horses, too.

She takes great care of all our critters and lesson students, and we’re so lucky to have her!

I’m late in posting but wanted to wish her an official “welcome aboard”! We couldn’t do it without you, Sam!
