Michael Ray York, 48, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 24th, at Monroe County Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, with Barry Davis officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory may be made to Love Like Carson, Inc. ( ).

There are so many thoughts this christmas day….thoughts about how grief can hit hard, thoughts on how christmas is the best time of the year, thoughts on the work that is put into christmas day, thoughts about how our loved ones would be so proud of us for continuing that tradition….whatever it may be, we can all agree there are thoughts.

As we were thinking about our christmas post and what we wanted to say. We looked up and saw this familiar frame with this comforting saying. Most know that we are proud of our generational business and heritage and we believe in traditions. This framed picture has had a spot in our lobby for many, many christmas seasons…it is a tradition for us to put it out. Don’t take the words for granted….read them…enjoy them…believe them.

We wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas. Praying for God’s comfort to give you peace this wonderful Christmas Day!

George Kenneth Humes passed away Monday December 22, 2025, at Signature Health Care in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, surrounded by his family. He was 90 years of age. Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, December 26, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Matt Ethridge and Mark Coots will officiate. Burial to follow at Old Mt. Herman Cemetery. Visitation after 9 AM until service time at 1 PM, Friday, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

Michael D. "Mike" Emberton, 73, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, surrounded by his family at Monroe County Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 12 noon at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, Bro. Jimmy Smith and Bro. Mark Copass will officiate the service. Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery, with DAV Chapter 20 performing military rites. Visitation will be held on Friday afternoon from 4:00-8:00 p.m., and Saturday morning 8:00 a.m. until service time at 12 noon at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's memory may be made to Hosparus or Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, and these may be left at the funeral home.

Whether this is your first Thanksgiving without your loved one or your twenty-first, please know that every feeling you carry today is valid. Grief is hard. Life is hard. Holidays can be really hard. And yet, in the middle of it all, it is possible to smile through the pain, to laugh when it feels heavy, and to celebrate even when your don’t think it is possible. Whatever stage of grief you find yourself in, it’s okay to feel a mix of emotions. The holidays can truly be bittersweet.
