Feeling lucky today… but maybe not in the way you’d expect 🍀

Luck isn’t just about chance—it’s also about the small, intentional steps we take toward healing, growth, and self-understanding. The truth is, showing up for yourself, even on the hard days, is its own kind of luck.

In therapy, we often work on creating more of those “lucky” moments—where you feel seen, grounded, and a little more like yourself again.

So today, whether you’re wearing green, celebrating, or just getting through the day… take a moment to recognize the quiet strength it takes to keep going. That’s something worth feeling lucky about.

❄️ January check-in!! ❄️
Winter can feel cold, dark, and heavy—especially after the rush of the holidays. If you’re noticing lower energy, motivation, or mood right now, you’re not alone.

Here are a few gentle ways to ease the winter blues:
• Get outside for daylight, even for a couple minutes
• Keep a simple routine (sleep, meals, movement)
• Stay connected—reach out to one safe person
• Do small things that bring warmth or comfort (tea, music, cozy spaces)
• Be kind to yourself—this season is about surviving, not thriving

If January feels like too much, support can help. Therapy is a space to check in, reset, and get through the winter with more steadiness. You don’t have to do it alone.

✨ Winter & the Holidays: You Don’t Have to Do This Alone ✨

The holiday season can bring joy, connection, and celebration—but for many, winter also brings stress, loneliness, grief, or emotional exhaustion. Shorter days, busy schedules, and family pressures can make it harder to take care of ourselves.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or not quite like yourself, please know this: support is available, and reaching out is a sign of strength—not weakness. Therapy can be a space to slow down, process what you’re carrying, and learn tools to cope through the winter months.

This season, give yourself permission to prioritize your mental health. Whether you’re navigating holiday stress, winter blues, or simply need someone to talk to, we’re here to help. 🤍

🎃🍂🍁Feeling Off This Fall? It Might Be More Than Just the Weather.

As the days get shorter and darker, some of us start to feel it — low energy, trouble sleeping, difficulty concentrating, or a general sense of sadness. These can be signs of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a type of depression that follows the seasons, most commonly beginning in the fall and continuing into the winter months.

You’re not alone, and you don’t have to push through it alone either.

As an LCSW, I’m here to help you navigate these changes and find tools that support your well-being. If this sounds familiar to you or someone you care about, feel free to reach out. Let’s talk. 🧡

🌟 Coping with the Holiday Stress: You Are Not Alone 🌟
The holiday season is often filled with joy, but it can also bring a lot of stress, pressure, and even sadness. It's important to acknowledge that it's okay not to feel perfectly happy or to be struggling with expectations. As your therapist, here are a few tips to help you navigate the season with more ease:

💖 1. Set Boundaries: It's easy to feel overwhelmed with social gatherings, family expectations, and endless to-do lists. Learn to say "no" when necessary. Prioritize your mental health by taking time to rest and recharge.

🧘‍♀️ 2. Practice Mindfulness: Take a moment to breathe and be present. When you're feeling overwhelmed, mindfulness can help ground you. Simple breathing exercises or short moments of meditation can reduce stress and bring you back to the present.

🤗 3. Manage Expectations: The holidays don’t need to be perfect. Let go of the idea that everything has to be flawless. Focus on the things that bring you peace and joy, and allow yourself to let go of the rest.

🎯 4. Practice Self-Compassion: It’s easy to be hard on ourselves, but the holidays can be an especially important time to be kind to yourself. If you're feeling overwhelmed, acknowledge that it's okay to not have everything under control.

👥 5. Reach Out for Support: If you're struggling, reach out to a friend, loved one, or a therapist. Talking about your feelings can be incredibly healing. You're not alone—help is always available.

🌟 Take Care of Yourself This Season 🌟

The holidays are a time for connection, but also a time to honor your needs. It’s okay to put yourself first and practice self-care. If you need extra support this holiday season, don't hesitate to reach out!

In light of the Olympics I came across this and loved it! I can’t tell you how many clients have come to me feeling like expressing emotion is a sign of weakness. Or anxiety, depression etc. is a sign of weakness. Expressing emotion, dealing with our mental and emotional health and struggles, is a sign of strength! My clients are some of the strongest people I know! Take care of yourself, you get one mind and one body! Just as you would go to a medical doctor for physical concerns go to a therapist for the mental health concerns. The mind body connection goes hand in hand! 💚
