Starting in 2026, we will begin accepting applications for Larry's Home, a residential facility for veterans located in Ocean County. We are pleased to embark on this initiative and look forward to launching the new project upon receipt of our anticipated license in the coming weeks. Eligible veterans in Ocean County who require a sober living environment should be prepared to register for consideration. A dedicated phone number will be available, and a formal process will be outlined for those seeking residency in this new facility.

The holiday season can be especially tough for young people coping with loss. BHH is here to make sure no child or teen feels alone.
We’re proud to introduce Hope Through the Holidays, a special grief support group designed to help youth ages 10–17 connect, heal, and find comfort in a supportive, understanding space.

• Age-appropriate small groups
• Weekly activities, conversations, and coping tools
• Snacks & light refreshments
• A safe place to share, learn, and feel supported

Due to the increased volume of needs in southern Ocean County, Just Believe has decided to partner with Little Egg Harbor Township Friends of Mystic Island to provide a sit-down meal for those in need in our community. This service is open to anyone residing in the Little Egg Harbor, Mystic Islands, or Tuckerton area who requires a meal with their family or as an individual. Please assist us in disseminating this information, and note that transportation will be available for those without access to a vehicle. We will provide round-trip transportation to ensure your attendance.

We know there's more people than ever that could use a little extra help. We expect a larger volume of food from our partners this Friday (11/7) which will help us better provide for the increase in need. The lot at 1070 Hooper Ave, Toms River opens at 7 am. Food distribution begins around 8:30 am and runs until we run out of food (usually between 10:30 - 11 am.)

Volunteers are also welcome. More food to give out means more bags to pack! We could use your help! We start packing bags around 7:30 am.

Please note that the hours of operation for the NOOK Food Pantry have changed to the following:
Monday: 12pm-2pm
Wednesday: 9am-12pm

On Saturday, November 1st our Pet Pantry was able to assist 55 families with feeding 67 dogs and 206 cats! Our Pet Pantry runs the first Saturday of the month at the East Dover Baptist Church in Toms River.

The Ocean County Department of Juvenile Services’ Youth Center offers a safe space for at-risk youth in Ocean County to develop into more secure and productive individuals. Sponsored by the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, the Youth Center provides free activities such as life skills, substance abuse education, vocational education, cooking classes, mentoring and tutoring and more.
