Services Provided:
-Care supervised by an interdisciplinary team including a physician, registered nurse, clinical social work, spiritual counselor, home health aide and compassionate volunteers
-24 hour/7 day week availability of medical professionals
-Expert pain management
-Nutritional counseling, physical, occupational, and speech therapies
-Holistic alternative therapies such as Reiki, Therapeutic Massage, Visualization, Aromatherapy, Pet Therapy, Sound Therapy, Yoga, exercise, and meditation
-Family bereavement counseling for up to 13 months following passing
-Medications, equipment and supplies related to the terminal illness

-New Jersey: Ocean and Monmouth Counties
-Pennsylvania: Chester, Philadelphia, Lower Bucks, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties

Behind every moment of compassionate care is a team working together with heart.

On Colleague Appreciation Day, we celebrate the colleagues who lift each other up, step in when help is needed, and bring encouragement to even the busiest days.

Hospice care is never a solo effort. It takes nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and support colleagues coming together to serve patients and families with excellence.

Today we say thank you for the teamwork, kindness, and dedication that make our mission possible.

Holisticare Hospice Music Therapy Team Presents to 350 Attendees

Holisticare Hospice is proud to share that twelve of our music therapy interns, former interns, and staff presented sessions at a recent conference attended by music therapy students, practical and internship students, and professionals.

Presentations included The Many Faces of Song (a 3-credit CMTE course on personalized songwriting in music therapy), When Classical Meets Care (practical approaches to adapting classical music for hospice patients), Neurodivergent Perspectives in Music Therapy (best practices for working with neurodivergent patients), The Gentle Art of Therapy in Music Therapy (major therapeutic models and approaches used in music therapy work), and Reflections on Hospice and Death in China (research leading up to the World Music Therapy Conference in Bologna this summer).

Many of these topics began as intern final projects at Holisticare Hospice and have grown into conference presentations that now inform hospice education and practice in the field.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our interns — your encouragement continues to shape the future of hospice music therapy, locally, nationally, and internationally.
