🔵❄️ SHOVELING ❄️🔵
Much like the Sabres, snow shoveling season is all the way back! And as always, with a solid month of continuous snowfall comes a host of new appointments booked in our office.
Typically a full shovel of snow can easily equal 25 pounds, and the heavy stuff by the road can get even heavier than that. Combine 50 reps (or more) of a full squat or lunge with 25 pounds and that is a lot of lifting!
If our body is not used to that amount of lifting, we can absolutely feel it in the legs or the back the next day. Now, importantly, back/leg muscle soreness is not necessarily something we need to be worried about. Often times this improves in a day or so.
But if that soreness sticks around for days or weeks, then there is a good chance that something was injured during the process! These injuries don’t have to be severe, but they can linger if not treated!
