A deviated septum is when the thin wall of cartilage and bone that separates the two sides of the nose is off-center.
Most people don’t realize this, but very few septums are perfectly centered. For many people, it’s slightly off-center, and that’s completely normal.
However, when the deviation is more severe, it can lead to symptoms like ongoing nasal congestion, trouble breathing through the nose, nosebleeds, facial pressure or headaches, and snoring or sleep issues.
If any of these symptoms are persistent or affecting your day-to-day life, give us a call. We can help determine what’s going on.
