This week we want to highlight is facial plastic surgeon 💉 Dr. Steven Mobley, MD!

Have you been in to see Dr. Mobley? Rave about your experience in the comments below! 👇👇👇

For over a decade Dr. Mobley, a board-certified Facial Plastic surgeon, has been transforming his deep and personal passion for his patients and the art of plastic surgery into beautiful results. Having had an ear-pinning procedure himself as a child, Dr. Mobley understands and empathizes with the patient experience, and combines this with his extensive training and surgical expertise to offer the very best in patient care.

The son of a urological surgeon, Dr. Mobley began his love for caring for others at an early age. As he forged his career as a Facial Plastic surgeon, Dr. Mobley was mentored by the likes of Dr. Rick Davis, Dr. Robert Simons, Dr. Regan Thomas, and Dr. Gary Burget, all of whom taught him that to be a great facial plastic surgeon one must be an artist, and an engineer, and a counselor. The counselor listens closely to the patient’s needs, the artist creates the vision for the patient’s solution, and the engineer uses an exacting technique to achieve the desired result.

Along with his extensive professional experience, Dr. Mobley actively gives back to his community. He routinely offers charitable surgery to children in need of ear pinning but who cannot afford it through The Mobley Foundation—a 501(c)3, started in 2008 with his wife Britta. As well, he has donated over $25K over the past several years to Children’s Holiday Charities.

When he’s not exacting his technique, caring for patients, or offering his expertise to children in need, Dr. Mobley is spending weekends with his family—skiing the Wasatch mountains of Northern Utah, hanging out in the gym with his wife, or giving his son a few pointers on the art of the curveball.

PRE-SURGERY TIP! 💡

Did you know that eating enough protein 🥩🍗🍤 before surgery helps you recover more quickly after surgery? It’s true!

Protein helps:

🌡 Support your immunity
🩹 Promotes wound healing
💪 Maintain muscle mass

Surgery puts stress on your body, and you naturally need more protein during times of stress.

About a week before your procedure, try to have at least 1.2 to 2 grams of protein per kilogram (or about 0.6 to 1 grams per pound) of body weight per day. For someone who weighs 150 pounds, that's around 80 to 135 grams of protein.

It's time for our Dr. Highlight! This week we have orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Jake Daynes, DO.

Have you had a great experience with Dr. Daynes? Let us know in the comments below! 👇👇👇

Dr. Daynes, a Utah native, graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in Spanish Literature in 2004. While at BYU he was awarded multiple academic scholarships and leadership awards. He earned his medical degree from Touro University in Nevada and graduated with honors in the top 10% of his class.

He completed his orthopaedic internship and residency in Detroit, Michigan where he received unique training in trauma, sports medicine, joint replacement, and tumor surgery. While in training, he was able to author research papers, presentations, and score in the top 3% of all orthopedic residents on his international in-training exam.

Dr. Daynes completed additional and specialized training (fellowship) in sports medicine and cartilage restoration with his internationally-recognized mentor, Jack Farr M.D. During his fellowship at the OrthoIndy Clinic in Indianapolis, he authored various research papers and became an associate team physician for the Indianapolis Fever, Indianapolis Indians, Butler University, Marion University, Naptown Roller Girls, and various local high schools. Dr. Daynes is the team doc for Stansbury High School and enjoys staying involved in the community in various capacities.

In addition, Dr. Daynes is active in orthopaedic research and has published in many mainstream orthopaedic journals.

Why I went into orthopaedics: “Power tools, fixing bones, getting people back on the trail or playing field…could there be anything better?”

What do I enjoy most about my specialty? “Often times people deal with chronic medical issues that have no ultimate solution without long-term treatments. In orthopedics, I am presented with a problem that, most of the time, can be fixed and totally resolved when treated correctly. I love that about my job.”
