The Kansas Pharmacists Association (KPhA) was established in 1880 and represents Kansas Pharmacists. It is one of the oldest statewide professional associations of pharmacists in the country. KPhA has a long and proud history of representing Pharmacists of all practice settings in Kansas. It is the voice of pharmacy when it comes to legislative and regulatory issues before Kansas governmental officials. KPhA's close ties to the KU School of Pharmacy and the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy allows KPhA to anticipate challenges, embrace new technologies and take action as a team to meet those challenges.

The Partnership for Safe Medicines warns that people are being sold products labeled “retatrutide” online and even in med spas. The real retatrutide, a new drug developed by Eli Lilly, is still in clinical trials and isn’t approved anywhere in the world, and it won’t be for at least a year. These are unapproved, unregulated powders and vials marked as “research chemicals,” not safe medicines. Despite that, people are being told how to mix and inject them, with dosage “tips” circulating on TikTok and Instagram. Unfortunately, we’ve already seen reports of people feeling seriously ill after injecting these substances. https://www.safemedicines.org/
