Lisa Ellis LSCSW

Lisa Ellis LSCSW I provide individual, couples, and family therapy services and enjoy working with children to adults

Many of us deal with issues like depression or anxiety, grief and loss, conflict within the marriage or family. Sometimes just the stressors of life feel like too much to manage. If you're ready to get help with some of these daily life struggles, I can help. My private therapy practice, offers confidential, nonjudgmental counseling for children, teens, adults and families experiencing a wide range of issues. Making the decision to talk with someone can be a difficult step. However, I believe finding the right therapist is important in meeting your goals. My approach is tailored to the individual, couple, or family. I accept most major insurance carriers as well as Employee Assistance Programs through New Directions Behavioral Health and Compsych. Please don't hesitate to contact me so I can answer any questions regarding therapy and my therapy approach. Scheduling an appointment will help you discover if I am the right fit for you or your family. Call me at 785-271-6551 Ext 2 or email me at lisaellislscsw@gmail.com I look forward to hearing from you!

I think this is a beautiful analogy that can help us stop and think. A lot of us have a negative, shaming perspective of ourselves. It's time to start challenging that perspective. Imagine the beauty others see in you and start the work to understand that is actually reality!

This goes right along with previous post. Change is not the destination but change evolves within our journey. A journey for which we are grateful no matter the speed.

This is so important! We shame ourselves with everything we say we SHOULD do. We shame what we define as 'bad' about us and focus only on what hasn't happened. HONOR and appreciate the small steps we take towards change. It is not the size of the step that matters. Any step is brave.

Being kind to ourselves is often the hardest choice we make. Our journeys are not linear. There are bumps in the road, unexpected curves, and parts we find desolate. But there will be times which offer beauty and peace; parts of the journey in which we smile. All of our varying emotions are valid and important!!

This is so important to read and really hear it! For men and women alike. The time of fire, questioning, doubting can be incredibly difficult and feel as if it will never end. There is absolutely no shame in seeking support in the darker hours. Sometimes you just need help seeing the strength you have to endure because you are gold, you are worth it, and you are ENOUGH just as you are...before and after the trials!

Holding space for my clients every day...

March is a month set aside to honor social work. I am so grateful to be a social worker. I cannot express enough the honor it is to walk a journey with someone through the darkest parts of life. People often ask "how do you do it...listening to problems all day?" I don't listen to problems I listen to stories of strength and resilience all day. And that changes me as much or more than any help I provide.
