Every hospital job supports more than just one paycheck. For every 100 hospital jobs, another 74 jobs are supported in non-health care sectors. And every $1,000 in current hospital wages and salaries sustains an additional $475 in income for other industries. From grocery stores and restaurants to utilities and local services, that’s the ripple effect of investing in hospitals and the health care workforce.

Congratulations!

What does that actually mean for you? It means that when you walk through our doors, you’re getting some of the best care in the nation. This award looks at things that matter most, like how well our patients recover, the quality of our medical care, and how satisfied you are with your visit.

At the end of the day, these rankings just prove one thing: you come first, and it shows in everything we do.

A strong health care system fuels a strong Kansas economy generating more than $2 billion annually in state and local tax revenue and helping create vibrant, resilient communities across the state. As Kansas leaders look for ways to grow our economy, investing in community hospitals and the health care workforce must remain a priority.

Thank you for sharing your time and experience!

This morning, our Laboratory Department was featured at the 2026 Kansas Virtual Health Care Career Day!

The Kansas Hospital Association, Kansas Board of Regents, and Kansas Department of Education presented this statewide online event, giving students a unique opportunity to step inside Kansas hospitals, experience a “day in the life” of health care professionals, and participate in live Q&A sessions.

We created a video showcasing the vital work happening in our laboratory and participated in a live Q&A with thousands of students across Kansas. This wonderful opportunity allowed us to highlight the important role laboratory professionals play in patient care and to help inspire the next generation of health care leaders.

We are proud of our team and grateful to KHA for this opportunity! ❤️

Thank you for participating!
