🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes 🇺🇸

McCrite Plaza proudly held our Annual Veterans Day Breakfast, inviting all of our veterans and their spouses to enjoy a specially prepared meal in their honor. We were deeply moved by the students from Highland Park High School's ROTC, who performed a beautiful Color Guard ceremony to pay tribute to our veterans and their service.

Later in the day, veterans from our Health Center enjoyed a special lunch, followed by a memorable trip to Forbes Field for a guided tour of the National Guard Museum.

It was a day filled with gratitude, reflection, and pride. To all who have served- we thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and dedication. We hope you felt truly celebrated this Veterans Day. ❤️🤍💙

🎃👻 Happy Halloween from McCrite Plaza! 👻🎃

What a fang-tastic Halloween we had at McCrite Plaza! From creative pumpkin carving and hilarious costume contests to trick-or-treating with our families, friends, and the adorable students from Whitson Elementary School, plus a Halloween Happy Hour to top it all off - there was no shortage of smiles, sweets, or spooktacular fun! 🕸🍬🍸

Everyone had an absolute blast getting into the Halloween spirit - we're already looking forward to brewing up more spooky fun for next year! 💀🧙‍♀️🧡

Denis has been a huge help around the community, completing repair and maintenance requests with care and skill. His friendly smile and great attitude brighten everyone’s day—thank you, Denis, for your dedication and hard work!

Although Heidi didn't want her picture taken, we want to share that Heidi shows such genuine respect and kindness to our residents. Her attention to detail and compassion make a true difference—our residents always look their best and feel their best when Heidi is on duty!

🏅 Vicente Dominguez – Dietary
Vicente is always smiling and ready to help anyone who needs it. His positive attitude and teamwork spirit make him such a valued member of our community.

Mystery at the Theater! 🎭

What a fabulous weekend outing! Our residents took a trip to the Topeka Civic Theater to see "Miss Holmes"🔍- a production proudly co-produced by McCrite Plaza.

The performance had it all- mystery, laughs, and amazing local talent! We had such a great time and are already looking forward to our next theater adventure. 🎫🎭🕵️

🎃 Spooky Skills Fair Success! 👻

Our Health Center held its annual Nursing Skills Fair this week- this year with a spooky twist! 🕸💉

Our incredible nursing staff came together to complete their competency skills, fit testing, and TB questionnaires, all while enjoying a little Halloween fun. A big thank you to Senior Care Pharmacy for setting up our IV insert skill check-off, and to our wonderful partners at Midland Care Hospice and Prairie Wind Hospice for helping with our booths and sharing their knowledge with the team.

We're so grateful for our dedicated staff and community partners who help make sure out team stays skilled, confident, and ready to provide the very best care - even when things get a little spooky! 🩺🦇

🌸 An Evening to Remember: Sakura Nights at McCrite Plaza 🌸

What a wonderful evening it was celebrating our Sakura Nights Dinner Event! Residents, families, and friends came together to enjoy a truly special night filled with great company, conversation, and a taste of Japanese culture. The elegant ambiance and thoughtful touches throughout the dining room made the evening feel truly memorable.

A sincere thank you to our incredible culinary team for curating such an impressive menu and providing an authentic Japanese cuisine experience. 🥟🥢Each course was beautifully prepared and showcased the talent and creativity that make dining at McCrite so exceptional.

We're so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a success. Moments like these remind us how special it is to come together as a community and share experiences that create lasting memories. ❤️We can't wait to see what our next themed dinner brings!
