After several days of unrest in the area, two individuals returned the following morning intending to take down a U.S. flag from a tall pole. One of them climbed upward and was nearing the top when the situation shifted dramatically within seconds.

A bald eagle suddenly descended from above, circling low and vocalizing loudly as it approached the area. The large bird flew close enough to startle the climber, who immediately paused and began descending the pole. His companion, watching from below, reacted with visible surprise as the unexpected encounter unfolded. Both individuals reached the ground safely and were not injured.
