One of my kids doesn't know how to be bored. I'm a child therapist. The irony is not lost on me. đ
I just saw a video called "You Need to Be Bored" from Dr. Arthur Brooks of Harvard, and it hit home â both professionally and personally.
Boredom isn't the enemy. It's where kids (and adults) build:

â frustration tolerance
â the ability to self-direct
For kids with ADHD, autism, or twice-exceptional profiles, their brains are wired to chase stimulation. Which is exactly why learning to tolerate the quiet matters so much.
Sometimes the prescription really is: go touch grass. No, seriously.
