Our colleagues at the University of Utah have now joined the NES/T Gel Male Contraceptive Trial and have begun enrolling couples to try male birth control.

“This is a fabulous opportunity for men to step up and take an active role in the development of new methods of contraception,” he said. “By doing this, they can demonstrate to their partners that they’re invested in a better future for all of us.”

-Dr. David Turok, one of the trial’s lead investigators, chief of the Division of Family Planning in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Utah Health.

Great news! Our NES/T Male Contraceptive Trial is expanding thanks to increased funding from the National Institutes of Health. We look forward to enrolling new couples in this trial thanks to this generous grant!

The Lundquist Institute at UCLA’s Geffen Medical School says it has been conducting clinic trials on a transparent gel applied daily to the skin of the man’s shoulders that works to replace the testosterone that is normally produced by the body.
