Do you hunger for love?
Do you wonder why?
This article explains the unknown, minimized or even dismissed roots of longing for love.
It is important to acknowledge, not to blame, and also not to justify your caregivers, but to put it all in such a perspective that you can heal your mind, body, and spirit:

Central to a child’s well-being is the need for affection. A newborn craves nurturance. This is affect hunger: emotional hunger for maternal love and feelings of protection.

What can we do when science continues to make more and more discoveries and psychologists keep changing their opinions and treatment?
Is anything out there constant and reliable?
Yes! We can help people based on their humanity; not as "cases" or DSM diagnoses, but as human beings who suffer, are sometimes locked in childhood survival patterns, and need to learn how to get out of them.
This article brings a more human perspective on the ill-reputed Borderline Personality Disorder:

Some have argued BPD should be reclassified as a trauma disorder, maintaining those diagnosed are typically women with abuse in their past

Forgiveness is the result of a deep work of awareness, acceptance, and letting go of all harm done to you.
Awareness is essential. We cannot deal with something if we are not aware of that something. Many times we choose to avoid knowing or to jump to excusing the perpetrators.
But forgiveness does not mean making excuses.

Understanding the reasons that someone hurts you ( they had been hurt themselves) may be helpful to you in the process of forgiving them.

But excusing their behaviors (they hurt me because they had been hurt) will never help you let go of what they did to you and forgive them. Why? Because excusing is not forgiving (session 2) but avoidance of the pain provoked in you. Excusing will only prolong your suffering. Excusing them will enable their behavior to continue, they will not heal, and you will continue to suffer.

We cannot excuse a wrong done to us, we can only forgive, says m. Siluana.

This is a very "inflammatory" article.
Take it with a grain of salt.
Allow your intuition to guide you. Do not jump to the first offered treatment. Make the best decision for your children and yourself.
Also, know that many physical and behavioral (e.g.: ADHD) issues are the result of unhealthy relational patterns, lack of patience with ourselves and our children, and the desire to instantly fix ourselves and others, without taking a look at the root of the problem.
There is a huge difference between treatment and healing.
Feeling comfortable with the helpers we choose is essential to getting better when we suffer- especially when we suffer because we are more vulnerable and inclined to survive by finding the easiest way out.

Just take a look at an out-of-the-box opinion.

We all know people who have children who have benefited from conventional medical care, but sadly, we all also know people whose children have been harmed by it.

Portable Skills for Healing and Wellness,
A Three-Part Online Workshop
I want to address one of the main concerns and needs I received as feedback from many people during this year: stress, anxiety, overwhelm, fragmentation, and the inability to take charge of emotions, especially in times of relational conflict.
So, I decided to collect a few of the basic skills I teach my individual clients to help them prepare not only for the greatest process of forgiveness, that I will offer soon, but also for dealing with life in general, as conflict inside families seems to worsen by the day. I call them portable skills because, although dormant and neglected, they are intrinsically built in our mind and soul, heart and body. They only need to be accessed and practiced.
So, in this 3-part online Workshop, I will be the “catalyst”, so that people can discover the wonderful skills hidden inside of each of us when the mind and its attention are targeted towards balancing the nervous system and being ready for the challenges of the day.

Here is a short description of the workshop:
We all want to heal, love, and be happy, but most of us do not know where to start, or we forget that we know or we skip steps, hoping that we will succeed faster.

Neuroscience and common sense, if we listen to them, tell us that baby steps are big steps that add up little by little, with just the right amount of effort, and they support us in the long run that is our life. It makes sense, doesn’t it? When children learn to walk, they fall and get up, fall again, and get up again, because their brains are wide awake and ready for challenges, present and attentive. They keep falling but don’t give up. Most of us, adults, lose these qualities until we become chronically discontented, discouraged, and even bitter. As little kids do, we, too, need to learn to steady our wobbly emotional legs and remind our bodies and minds of their inherent power:
- to feel safe inside the body when everything crumbles around us.
- to acknowledge pitfalls without succumbing to them.
- to not abandon our own selves when we need ourselves the most.

Based on neuroscience, this 3-part workshop is an integration of a variety of mind-body methods: basic somatic skills for stress and trauma, HeartMath, Integrative Body Psychotherapy, the Feldenkrais Method, Sounder Sleep Systems, Intelligent Movement Solutions, and more.

So, come and learn simple, calming and energizing ways of feeling safe, well and ready to face any task and situation. Discover, uncover, and practice the rich resources of your mind and soul, heart and body. Learn the essentials of energy management through attention, orienting, grounding, breathing, heart-centering and minimal movement meant to balance the nervous system and restore the whole being.

Each workshop builds on the previous one, but can also be taken separately. Recordings will be available for those of you who cannot participate live.

You will be able to add some of these skills to your:
- morning routine: preparation for prayer, meditation and work.
- evening routine: reducing the stress accumulated during the day and preparing for sleep.
- breaks during the day: preventing stress and dealing with difficult situations.
This is my desire for you: to manage your energy, recover the zest for life and thrive, from the inside out.

Please also see the flyer attached for details on the dates and the payment options for the workshop.

I am looking forward to seeing you this coming Wednesday, August 30th, 5-6:30 pm PST.
A fresh perspective on forgiveness as a healing process, a growth mindset, and a resilient attitude.
A blend of science: modern sciences and the ancient Eastern Christian science of the heart.
Beyond psychological treatment.
Not just for the mind. Not just for the spirit. And not just for the body and its complaints, but for all at once. Because you are not just a body, you are not just a mind, and you are not just a spirit, but a full human being designed to achieve fullness and joy.
