10 years ago today…. The sun was brilliant, the sky was cobalt blue… and we had the privilege of opening our Chapel and NEW ADDITION of Cook Funeral Home. Surrounded by hundreds of family and friends… and with the encouragement of SO many … we presented to our Community a non-denominational space to “Celebrate a Life Well Lived”. It is a day we will remember in our hearts forever.

So many facets of funeral service has changed since then, but one thing will always remain… our hometown has a Full-Service Funeral Home, committed to the families who we are privileged to serve and who is committed to our community.

Thank you to everyone who supported and celebrated our dream with us… and Thank You to every family who celebrates their loved one’s lives with us.

As we reflect on this past year, it is common to remember the happy times and the sad times, …. And as we look forward to the New Year, we are hopeful to share more happy and proud times with our loved ones… and we are prepared to support each other through the sad times… this is the reality of life. Don’t let the burden of reality fall on the shoulders of your loved ones. Make your wishes known…. Once again, COOK FUNERAL HOME, Torrington, CT is proud to collect new, unwrapped toys and gift cards as part of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association (CFDA) Holiday Drive. This year collections will benefit Operation E.L.F., the Yale New Haven Childrens Hospital Toy Closet Program and Connecticut Children's Hospital.

Please stop by our office …Monday through Friday, between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon, …and hand an unwrapped toy or gift card to one of our team members, from today until December 3, 2025

Cook Funeral Home is once again proud to participate in the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association (CFDA) new toys and/or gift cards collection ….benefiting Operation ELF, CCMC, and the Yale New Haven Hospital Toy Closet. We will begin to collect new, unwrapped toys and gift cards beginning Monday November 17, 2025 through December 3, 2025 Stop in Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon and hand your contribution directly to a Cook Funeral Home staff member.
