Charlotte Hungerford Hospital extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Bill Handelman of C***ecticut Kidney and Hypertension Specialists in Torrington on the occasion of his retirement, following a distinguished 46-year career serving patients at CHH and across the Northwest Corner. We thank Dr. Handelman for his invaluable service and wish him all the best in his retirement.

Applications are now available for the 2026 CHH Auxiliary Scholarships, which award thirteen $1,000 scholarships to local students pursuing healthcare careers.

Ten scholarships are funded by the Auxiliary, while three are privately supported including the Whalen/Ryan Scholarship reserved for Torrington High School or Oliver Wolcott Technical School students.

Applications are available at area schools or by emailing chhscholarship@gmail.com, and are due February 28th.

Spreading Holiday Cheer Together!

The amazing team at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital came together again for thier annual Angel Toy Drive making the season brighter for 150 local children.

Thanks to the generous spirit of our colleagues—and the help from the Center for Youth and Families, CHH Community Outreach, and the Torrington Salvation Army—our community felt the magic of the holidays.
