Meet Val. 🤍
Val was diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer and given 4–6 months to live. At 82 years old, she chose surgery but declined chemotherapy and radiation, wanting to honor her body and quality of life. She was placed on hospice.
Around month four, Val began a high-dose vitamin C (HDVC) IV protocol at The DRIPBaR.
Here’s what many people don’t know:
At low doses, vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and supports the immune system.
At high doses (like 50 grams) — levels that can only be achieved intravenously — vitamin C behaves differently. It becomes pro-oxidative, producing hydrogen peroxide in the body, a mechanism being studied for its ability to selectively impact cancer cells while sparing healthy ones.
HDVC is also commonly used as a complementary therapy alongside chemotherapy and radiation.
✨ Today, 2.5 years later, Val continues her HDVC treatments.
✨ She was taken off hospice after one year.
✨ Her quality of life allows her to spend meaningful time with family and enjoy the things she loves — horseback riding, gardening, and golfing.
Val is a reminder of what’s possible when care is personalized and quality of life is prioritized.
She is truly a DRIPBaR treasure. 💛
Have a family member or friend struggling with cancer? Maybe HDVC is a complementary therapy they may be interested in.

HDVC is not a cure and outcomes vary. Always consult with your healthcare provider regarding treatment options.
