My niece just had this at her high school. As targets of shooting, but having family with extensive arms experience, we pray for universal background checks, limits on open gun carry and safe fi****ms storage.

The number of guns found in schools -- hidden in backpacks, waistbands and lockers -- has spiked in recent years, impacting hundreds of thousands of students.

Don’t forget tomorrow starts the new Facebook rule where they can use your photos. Don't forget Deadline today!!! It can be used in court cases in litigation against you. Everything you've ever posted becomes public from today Even messages that have been deleted or the photos not allowed. It costs nothing for a simple copy and paste, better safe than sorry. Channel 13 News talked about the change in Facebook's privacy policy. NOTE: Facebook is now a public entity. All members must post a note like this. If you prefer, you can copy and paste this version. If you do not publish a statement at least once it will be tacitly allowing the use of your photos, as well as the information contained in the profile status updates. DO NOT SHARE. Copy and paste.
Their new algorithm chooses the same few people - about 25 - who will read your posts. Therefore,
Hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go your page, start a new post and put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click paste
This will bypass the system.

I DO NOT GIVE FACEBOOK PERMISSION TO SHARE ANYTHING OF MINE., THAT I HAVE PUT ON THEIR SITE, . PICTURES, CURRENT OR PAST POSTS, PHONE NUMBERS OR EMAILS.. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CAN YOU USE IN ANY DESIRED MANNER WITHOUT MY WRITTEN PERMISSION OR VERBAL CONSENT.

"I am 38 years old and was diagnosed with stage III invasive ductal carcinoma with DCIS with mets to the lymph nodes and skin in April 2022 at age 37. I am a mother to 2 children, ages 11 and 6. I have always enjoyed living a healthy lifestyle, dancing, and helping others. I am a Registered Dietitian and have supported many patients through difficult times and have promoted health and wellness with patients with all different backgrounds and health issues. Learning I had cancer rocked my world and because of my background shattered my identity of health and my beliefs that by taking good care of myself I would be spared of any major illness. I've always eaten healthy and exercised, I have been a dancer since I was 3 years old, I have never smoked, breastfed both of my babies, and kept up on all my medical appointments and necessary tests. Even though I have a strong family history of cancer, I thought that by doing all of the right things I would never end up in this situation. At first, I had a sense of guilt and fear that I had done something and was to blame for my diagnosis. I have had to learn to let go of those thoughts but have also been taught that people going through major illnesses often have blame placed on them at the most difficult time of their lives. No one should feel this way and while we need to empower people to take charge of their health we do not need them to feel responsible for things that are out of their control.

Since the beginning, I decided that I would try to keep my life as normal as possible, for my sake and my children's sake. I danced in my dance recital after having my port placed. I climbed the Rocky Mountains while I was undergoing chemotherapy. I served on the board of my kid's PTO while recovering from my double mastectomy and lymph node removal. And continued to help people striving to have a healthier relationship with food and a healthy body as a Registered Dietitian throughout my treatment.

I have been overwhelmed with love and support since my diagnosis. The daily reminders that people are thinking about me and my family and support from complete strangers have been such a pillar of strength for me. To feel loved and cared for and reminded that I am more than cancer has been so important. Going through treatment with little children at home has been the hardest part. They do not understand a lot of what is happening to their mom but they feel the insecurity, they hear my anxiety and tears from the bathroom from when my hair fell out to seeing my body for the first time after surgery, and they know that our lives are filled with uncertainty. The way others have shown them support and helped them have normalcy in their lives has been the most amazing gift to me. They are learning that through hard times we rally together, we lean on others, we keep looking up because if we look down we may miss something wonderful, and that LOVE will get us through.

Being in the healthcare field, I feel that I have learned some lessons that will help me in the future provide the best care for my patients. But I have also learned that you can't let your woes hold you back from living this beautiful life! Put on the bathing suit and jump in the pool with your kids! Make the plans to travel! Tell your friends and family you love them!

I have had the best care from my Dr's, nurses, and other professionals. Trusting their expertise, feeling confident in their abilities, and ignoring all of the nonfactual hoky advice online has helped me to keep focused on proven treatments and lean on the truth that will give me the best chance of beating this and seeing my kids grow up and live a long, healthy life.” -Alyssa

In a threatening storm, if health seems beyond control, know that the chosen members of your wellness team can support you. Not only should you ask them to consider you a key player, but each other. Getting them to share concerns on your case is not an imposition, but highly useful and sometimes vital. Many eyes on a problem, rather than I alone, can make a critical difference for you.

Interesting, that first responders are growing into extended roles on calls in our neighboring areas. Along with virtual PT or other telehealth, it may prevent burdensome travel or displacement from home at a time like now, during such a brutal cold front. Brrrrr!!!

The Montana Department of Health and Human Services is piloting what it is calling Community Integrated Health programs around the state in an effort to alleviate an overburdened health care

LOOKING FOR AN EASIER WAY TO DEAL WITH STEPS? Some people assume a Stair Lift will be required. A number of manufacturers carry well-designed seated lifts. Rural grants, some insurances and waivers may cover this equipment, but not always the total labor. Likewise, there are installers who are well-rehearsed in the specs and affordability. But, winding staircases can be tough, as two separate units or a curving track may be the best solution. And, without convenient outlets, wiring must be done. Older homes with narrow stairwells or a cramped approach are tricky to implement.

As a PT restoring patient mobility, I don't like limiting motion. The alternatives I've found appeal to a "feets don't fail me now" mindset. I offer these to people who feel unsteady, but may insist on using their legs until it's impossible. This basically involves a firm lever mounted on a track along a stair wall. Purchase and contractor installation is cheaper, with no power required. Walking up or down steps can be slower, but a decent option.

Now that November is here, we see the arrival of winter in all its glory....snow, sleet, ice and more snow! We may have to shake the dust off our yak trax, canes and walking poles just to get around! For 10 years of studying Fall Proof, Home Safety and Vertigo care I have braced myself for an uptick in patient episodes during this time of year. I was glad to see Otago Balance training featured in AARP magazine, since this strategy can help prevent or remedy loss of balance. Up to a third of repeat falls can be avoided by starting a program for toning, safe home mobility and work on stabilization Call 406 544-5598 to get a solid foothold!
