Last month, our amazing psychologist and intern supervisor, Lauren Weingard, facilitated the teen panel at Honestly Autism Day, held at Towson University. She was joined by her intern, Gretchen!

Honestly Autism Day is a special in-person event devoted to understanding autism and building community. Hosted by the Partnership Project, the day brings together parents, families, professionals, and Autistics for panels, breakout sessions, networking, and a resource fair—all focused on presuming competence, celebrating strengths, and sparking meaningful change. The goal is simple: to inspire acceptance, create opportunities, and uplift our community through mutual understanding.

Scenes from National School Psychology Week!

We have some of the most dedicated, hardworking, collaborative, kind and genuinely good human being psychologists on our staff. It's no surprise that our Baltimore County Public Schools show up to thank them during this week.

No matter the circumstances, our psychologists constantly go above and beyond to make sure our schools, families, staff and communities are advocated for and supported, and we thank them EVERY WEEK, just especially this week

It's the first day of National School Psychology Week! Take at look at two of our psychs: Bradley Leposa serving Battle Monument School, Ridge Ruxton School, and Villa Cresta ES; and Christina Robinson serving Chase Elementary School and General John Stricker MS.

The theme of National School Psychology Week 2025 (November 3-7) is “Find Your Path.” In honor of the theme and to celebrate the amazing school psychologists who serve BCPS, the blog conducted short interviews with two of them. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school adminis...

"Today, I was at my elementary school, but I had to get there a little early for a Racial Equity Workgroup (REW) committee meeting at 8 AM. During the meeting, we discussed some survey data for a presentation we're doing in November. Afterward, I did a student interview and some testing with a student.
On Fridays, one of the teachers makes baked goods, so I had to check those out before I had clinical supervision with my intern supervisor. Since I had some time in between testing, I went and helped out in the kindergarten classrooms.
Once I finished up testing, I packed up and went to clinical supervision with Dr. Jacobs, the Supervisor of the Office of Psychological Services (OPS), where I learn all about BCPS and troubleshoot any issues I may be having. The interns have clinical supervision with the first- and second-year psychologists in the county."
