As a comprehensive system of care, GBMC HealthCare unites three work systems: GBMC (Greater Baltimore Medical Center), GBMC Health Partners, and Gilchrist. The 342-bed medical center (acute and sub-acute care) is located on a beautiful suburban campus and handles more than 23,000 inpatient cases and approximately 52,000 emergency room visits annually. Since its founding in Towson in 1965, GBMC's accomplishments have validated the vision of its founders to combine the best of community and university-level medicine. GBMC's main campus also includes three medical office buildings-Physicians Pavilion East, Physicians Pavilion West, and William E. In addition to its main campus located in Towson, GBMC's care can be found in several facilities located throughout the community including Baltimore City, Hunt Manor, Hunt Valley, Jarrettsville, Joppa Road, Owings Mills, Padonia, Perry Hall, and Texas Station.

On December 19, we celebrated our annual holiday gift pickup with a new focus on supporting our community right here at GBMC 💚

More than three dozen generous donors from across the health system donated books, art supplies, clothing, gift cards, games, and more—items our SAFE & DV and Child Life programs use all year long.

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously, and to our amazing partners and volunteers who helped make it happen!

🎄✨ Spreading Holiday Cheer at GBMC! ✨🎄

The sounds of the season filled the halls as our GBMC carolers — with a special visit from Santa himself! 🎅 — stopped by GBMC's Sandra & Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute to share music, smiles, and a little holiday magic.

From joyful songs to festive moments, the visit brought warmth and cheer to patients, families, and staff — reminding us all of the power of community, compassion, and togetherness during the holidays. 💚
