The Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Social Services (DSS) will be closed on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

DOH will re-open for business on Friday, December 26.

The Baltimore County Department of Health continues to partner with the Baltimore County Public Library to offer naloxone receptacles in all 19 library branches. Naloxone is a safe medication that can rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, including he**in and fentanyl.

Sharing your medications with anyone else can be potentially harmful to them. It could cause allergic reactions, dangerous drug interactions, and overdoses.

There are 10 Baltimore County drug drop boxes where you can safely dispose of your unused prescription drugs.

🚨The Baltimore County Freezing Weather Shelter locations have been extended through December 23. Beds will be available starting at 6 pm December 18 through Friday December 23 at 9 am. 🚨

Residents in need of shelter to avoid inclement weather and extreme cold conditions should be directed to the Eastern Family Resource Center at 9150 Franklin Square Drive, Rosedale, MD 21237; Hannah More Family Shelter at 12041 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136 or Westside Men's Shelter at 309 Redwood Circle, Catonsville, MD 21228.
