Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) has always been a hallmark here at Edenwald. These days, our commitment to seeing that everyone feels seen and appreciated is taking shape in new ways.

Debra F. believes she was invited to join the Edenwald Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Belonging (DEIB) Committee because she’s naturally inclined to interact with her fellow residents. “I know a lot of people. I feel like I’ve got my finger on the pulse of the community,” she says. When D...

This year, staff members were given the opportunity to take classes and become CPR certified. 💝The course is offered on a volunteer basis and is not required, but many of our employees have elected to get certified or expressed interest. We are so proud of our team! It's never too late to learn a new life-saving skill.

Last month's MaCCRA (Maryland Continuing Care Residents Association) Meeting also featured a very special guest speaker: State Senator Mary Washington, PhD. Edenwald residents engaged in a fruitful discussion around several topics of interest to seniors, including the 2026 General Assembly and issues effecting older members of Maryland's LGBTQ+ community. Thank you for your visit and for a wonderful talk, Senator Washington!

Once it was announced that the "Amy Sherald: American Sublime" exhibition would be on display at the Baltimore Museum of Art 🎨, the trips and travel committee knew it had to be added to the calendar. Residents toured the museum and special exhibit, then finished their outing with a delicious meal 🦀 at the famous Gertrude's Restaurant.

(P.S. "American Sublime" is on display thru April 5th!)

Thank you to LeadingAge Maryland for inviting us to take part in this fulfilling day of service to the Baltimore community!

The Leaders of Color and Allies Network came together for a service day on Friday, December 19th. Fifteen team members from Edenwald Senior Living, Keswick, and LeadingAge Maryland spent several hours volunteering at Paul’s Place in Southwest Baltimore.

Paul’s Place serves as a vital lifeline for individuals facing barriers to food, shelter, medical care, benefits, clothing, and other essential supports. We look forward to making serving others a regular part of the network's activities. Be on the lookout for future opportunities to join us.
