Happy July 4th!

From all of us here at Sutter Gould Tracy OBGYN, we wish y’all a wonderful day!

We want to take a moment to say “THANK YOU”! to all of our fellow First Responders and Essential Personel partners in collaborating and coordinating our fight against COVID 19. However, we also want to give out thanks to all the parents, teachers, and coaches in keeping our children engaged and stimulated in this unprecedented time in history!

As we move forward, please don’t forget about the progress we have made with COVID 19. I respect the fact that it seems like we are moving backwards, but we were expecting that. We have come too far to lose our advantage at this time. We are prepared. We have been given the tools to fight it. You know what they are.

Please remember to wear your mask in public, social distancing, and be aware of the symptoms of COVID 19. These measures probably will not prevent you from catching COVID 19, but decrease the possibility of spreading COVID19 if you are an asymptomatic carrier.

Stay safe this weekend and let’s support each other in enjoying the freedom that our great country offers!

Hello everyone!

The news about the decrease in new COVID-19 cases and deaths is encouraging.......BUT! Please remember how we got here....... I was out at the Tracy Farmers Market and Raley’s this morning and was shocked at how many people we not wearing their face mask and not practicing social distancing.

PLEASE REMEMBER ALL WHAT WE HAVE DONE TO GAIN THE UPPER HAND ON THIS PANDEMIC!

THIS IS A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT!

Remember your Masks in public, Washing your hands, Don’t touch your face, and keep your social distancing!

Yesterday, a gentleman ran up to me and thanked me for my “service”. This was this first time someone told me that. I am humbled because being a doctor is what we chose to do. We are on the “front lines” everyday to fight off illness and disease. COVID-19 is just the illness du jour and who knows what tomorrow will bring. However, while we greatly appreciate the gratitude, let us not forget that we are ALL fighting COVID -19 as a nation and a world. To that, we at Sutter Gould Tracy OBGYN say “Thank You!” For doing y’all’s part along side of us to beat COVID-19!

Patients have inquired about transferring to a home birth for fear of not having her support person with her during labor during this unprecedented health emergency called COVID-19. This is the current American College of OBGYN recommendation regarding home births. If you and your feel that a home birth is the correct choice for your family, please make sure the your birthing center have the proper protections in place to keep you and your family safe during this time. Sutter Tracy Hospital is still allowing one support person to be with you during this special time. We will keep you and yours safe with the most current up-to-date prevention and management COVID-19 recommendations.
