Happy Veterans Day!

First, we want to express our sincere gratitude to all our veterans. Today, we honor all those who have served our country and all those who are still serving.

Today, we were able to honor our veterans with a special pizza luncheon. Surrounded by a few local veterans who were kind enough to spend some time with our loved ones, we followed this lunch with a Veterans Day ceremony where we watched tributes to our veterans and handed out certificates and pins for their service.

We hope everyone feels honored, loved, and appreciated on this special day.

We have officially arrived in November, the month dedicated to expressing gratitude, honoring veterans, and cherishing our loved ones. Last week, our staff concluded the Halloween season with an incredible spirit week! We were thrilled to witness an amazing turnout of participants throughout the week. This upcoming month promises to be filled with exciting activities, and we can’t wait to share our weekly plans with you all!

Over the weekend, our staff and the surrounding community facilitated another fantastic Trunk-or-Treat here at Terra. We had a total success thanks to all of the volunteers who participated in this event. We had 20 amazing, decorated trunks that were so well put together! The weather was perfect, and our residents certainly enjoyed it all.

We want to express our gratitude to everyone who participated in this wonderful day. From our fall festival to the trunk or treat, each person involved helped make this year go so smoothly.

Thank you to Anywhere Ice Cream, Hospice of Michigan, Aurora Pharmacy, Heartland Hospice, TC Lofts, Options for Senior Living and all the other staff and family members who participated. We cannot wait to do it all over again next year!

Happy Monday!

Like everyone else in Northern Michigan, we have been embracing the fall season!

Our residents have been engaged in various special and enriching activities.
Last week, they had the opportunity to assist in making homemade applesauce, which was a resounding success! We also welcomed Sue’s Zoo to bring some bunny love to our facility. Additionally, we treated our residents to a visit from Whispering Pines Mobile Zoo!

We cherish every moment and activity we are able to provide for our residents and their families here at French Manor Terra.

We wanted to extend our wishes to our boss, Brandon. Our team, residents, and community are proud to have him as our leader. Brandon is renowned for his unwavering dedication and commitment to going the extra mile. Our staff honored him today with a small gift of appreciation and a good laugh!

Embracing the Fall Season

With the fall season in full swing, we want to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful summer we had. Our residents have certainly been active and engaged in various recreational activities, from outdoor adventures to indoor summer-themed events. We are always striving for the best outcomes and exploring new ideas to enhance our residents' daily lives.

As the new season approaches more quickly than we might have anticipated, our residents and staff are excited to transition into all things fall and its vibrant colors. Furthermore, we dedicated time to host our annual vaccine clinic on-site to help prevent those pesky fall season germs! We truly prioritize the health of our residents and take every precaution to ensure everyone stays healthy during the months ahead.

This upcoming month, we have a multitude of fall-filled activities planned for our residents and their families to enjoy. Additionally, we will be hosting our annual Trunk or Treat on October 26th from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. We are still seeking volunteers to help set up and distribute treats from their trunks. We have officially reached the midpoint of summer. Our residents have been engaged in a variety of summer activities, including music entertainment, chair exercises, gardening and so much more! We also celebrated twelve birthdays this month!

Additionally, we had a special visit from the local ice cream truck today. Our residents love their ice cream!

At French Manor Terra, we are committed to providing our residents with a wide range of daily and weekly activities. We are pleased to continue offering such enriching experiences to our residents!
