Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day! slavery still exists.

Today, January 11, is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
Around the country, and right here in Michigan, men, women, and children are forced into prostitution, domestic servitude, and other labor for little or no pay. Human trafficking is a modern-day form of slavery and is a large and growing criminal industry worldwide. Our children are especially at risk, a staggering number of human trafficking cases involve the sexual exploitation of a child.

If you are a victim of human trafficking or have identified someone you think may need help, please contact the National Human Trafficking Resource Center at 888-3737-888.
