Wellness Response Team — Confidential Support After an Overdose

If you or someone you care about has experienced an overdose, a suspected overdose, or is at risk of one, help is here — and it’s free, confidential, and compassionate. The Wellness Response Team from Catholic Human Services offers supportive follow-up to connect you with resources, encouragement, and options for healing and recovery.

What You Need to Know:
Call the Wellness Response Team hotline at 1-833-342-5978 — anyone can refer: yourself, a loved one, a provider, or a community member.

A Peer Recovery Coach and trained support professionals will reach out within 24–72 hours to offer help without judgment.

Services are available at no cost in: Presque Isle, Montmorency, Alpena, Oscoda, Alcona, Ogemaw, and Iosco counties.

Your team can:
• Provide harm reduction supplies
• Connect you with local support services and treatment options
• Explore recovery pathways that match your goals and needs
• Meet with you in a safe, comfortable place of your choice

Education & Awareness — Evidence-based programs and trainings tailored for schools, workplaces, and community groups on topics like youth prevention, va**ng & to***co, alcohol and drug awareness, mental health & resilience, and prescription drug safety.
