The Little Traverse Bay Band Health Fair is a fantastic time every year! We enjoy providing education on orthotics, prosthetics, and mastectomy products, and... of course, the bike giveaway is always FUN!! A big thanks to Megan Fortelka, Certified Prosthetist, and Derek Nowak, Certified Pedorthist, for manning the booth at the Traverse City Senior Expo last week! Megan and Derek were able to educate Northern Michigan residents about the products and services Active Brace and Limb provides; as well as have a great experience!

Here's a fun Thursday fact about Prosthetics: Did you know the oldest known prosthetic was found in Cairo, Egypt in 2000? It was estimated that the wood and leather prosthetic toe was nearly 3,000 years old! It's amazing how far prosthetics have come since then! Pictured below is one of our own Prosthetists, Megan Dodds making prosthetic adjustments.
