In our August employee spotlight we are recognizing Ariona. She joined the NMMP team as a medical assistant in June of 2019. Ariona is very reliable and resourceful part of the team, that often goes above and beyond to learn more than is required of her!

When asked what she likes best about working here, she mentioned helping patients and making a difference in their lives. She also has greatly enjoyed working with Dr.Small, builing relationships with her patients, and watching them grow.

When not at work, Ariona enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones, playing co****le, and being outside.

As one of our younger, and long standing employees; we have certainly enjoyed watching her grow in her role here. We appreciate her hard work and dedication!

The GTCHD, in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, has confirmed a measles outbreak, which is defined as three or more related cases of measles in a single county. GTCHD confirmed a third case of measles on June 23, 2025. There are no new public exposure sites to be reported, and all confirmed cases in GTC have been determined to be linked to one another by GTCHD.

In our June employee spotlight we are recognizing Dan R. He joined us at NMMP in May of 2024. Working as a receptionist was a brand new role for Dan.

Dan enjoys talking with and getting to know our patients, along with helping them in any way possible. Coming from a previously stressful work environment, he truly enjoys coming to work each day at NMMP.

After living in many different states, and even in another country, he has settled in Traverse City. He and his fiance enjoy spending time together and love checking out the beautiful northern Michigan scenery!

In our April employee spotlight we are recognizing Shannon. She joined us at NMMP in April of 2016. She has worked with us as a medical assistant for 9 years. She is a very dedicated member of our team and has an incredible work ethic!

Shannon loves working with all of the physicians, especially Dr.Selle, whom she has worked closely with for several years. She has built strong bonds with his patients and considers many of them extended family.

When not at work, Shannon enjoys crocheting. Her co-workers have been lucky recipients of gifted adorable baby booties and gorgeous afghans. She also enjoys being physically active, and when the weather allows it, she is usually found outdoors.
